Dental Crowns and Bridges in Billings, MT
What Can a Dental Crown or Bridge Fix:
What Are Dental Bridges?
Dental bridges are another type of dental restoration that is used to replace one or more missing teeth. A dental bridge consists of two dental crowns attached to the teeth on either side of the gap, with a false tooth or teeth in between. Dental bridges can be made of porcelain, ceramic, or metal materials.
By replacing lost teeth, dental bridges can restore your ability to chew and speak properly, prevent your remaining teeth from shifting, and improve your smile. They can also help prevent premature wrinkles by supporting the muscles in your face.
Placing Your Dental Bridge
To place a dental bridge, Dr. Thomas will prepare the teeth on either side of the gap by removing some of the enamel to make room for the dental crowns. Impressions of your teeth will be taken and sent to a dental lab to create your custom bridge. A temporary bridge will be placed while you wait for your permanent bridge to be made. Once your permanent bridge is ready, it will be cemented onto your teeth.
